  Physicians normally recommend lifestyle modifications, whether or not recommending drugs is neccesary so maintain a healthy diet. Posture is also related to acid reflux so sit up straight!

  Don't eat 2 hours before you go to bed. Especially don't drink coffee or alcohol 2 hours before before bed as this can cause evening reflux. Same thing goes with excessive intake of Vitamin C.

  Take antacids but make sure they are compatible if you are taking any other medication as some forms can interfere with the functions of the other drugs.

  The most common symptom is heartburn or trouble swallowing.
