Should I use an agent to book my vaca package or just do it myself online?

Travel agencies are in the business of booking for people so I think since it's a definded business that? been going on for years then the chances that this is the safest mode of booking travel is a pretty good chance. Also with the advantage that they have been doing this for awhile, relationships between hotels and resorts have been worked so you can get a great deal.

Travel agents have the negotiating power when it comes to booking travel. They can finagle the best deal for the number of people or place you want to travel too. There goal is to win your business so let them take care of all the steps and you just enjoy your vacation. A benefit as well is when you set it up with an agent you know exactly what you are doing, where you are going and when you need to get there so your trip is mapped out and planned while booking so you dont need to worry about time management.

Booking online is good if you know what you are doing. If you don't or have the slightest inkling that you don't know what something is then go to an agent. Restrictions may not be obviously stated when booking online and that? why they are usually cheap so you might be thinking you have a great deal but its because of something in the fine print that an agent would already know and inform you of.

How do I book a cruise?
-
H2Od
Potential cruisers have multiple ways to book a cruise vacation. You can book online through a cruise line's website, an online cruise seller, or a large travel provider like Expedia, Travelocity, or Orbitz. You can visit a local travel agent, or call up an agent affiliated with an agency in another state or with the cruise line itself.

No matter how you ultimately book your cruise, you should do your trip research via as many channels as you can to make sure you have all the information you need to choose the itinerary and line that's best for you.

Insurance is available for cruise vacations, and is strongly encouraged. Cruises are generally nonrefundable after final payment has been made, and you can incur penalties for cancellation. Insurance can protect you from losing your money if you need to cancel. Travel insurance can also cover you for medical expenses, lost baggage, trip interruption, and emergency medical evacuation. Before you purchase a policy, make sure you understand the coverage you have through your own medical insurance or your credit card.

Is it smarter to book an all inclusive trip at the suggested price rather than pay the base hotel rate and pay for everything individually?
-
mirah
We went to spring break in Cancun on an all inclusive package and it was definitely worth it! They gave you a wrist band which pretty much meant anything is yours. If you plan on using the hotel restaurants and bar then this is definitely worth it.
-

Cruises are great in all inclusive especially because if you don't book this package then there is a good chance that you will pay more eventually anyways. Cruise food and drinker are high because they can be?there is no other competition because there is no where else to get anything

If you are going for business or a vacation spot where you do not plan on staying at the hotel as much then all inclusive isnt worth it because chances are you will not be using the ammentities say if it was a beach location where your hotel is located 20 feet from where you planned on being the whole time and you can benefit by using the hotel all inclusive perks.

Is it cheaper to book a all inclusive hotel and flight together?
-
minnTwins
In every situation that I have been in; it has been cheaper.
-
cassharper
Go to a travel agent and check the rates but normally they will try to persuade a package deal because it is cheaper. It is less stress and more organized to book them all together because all your information and paperwork goes hand in hand.
-

Depends on where you are going and then where you want to stay. Some hotels have deals with flights so it is cheaper to get it all together. I would pick where you want to go and then decide if its cheaper rather than changing your desired plans to go and stay somewhere you really don't want to.

What services can I get from a Kelly Blue Book?
-

The company reports market value prices for new and used automobiles of all types, as well as RVs, mobile homes, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and personal watercrafts.
-

For new automobiles, KBB provides information about a make's MSRP, dealer invoice price, and a vehicle's New Car Blue Book Value; what others are paying for a new car this week.
-
huntseay
For used cars KBB provides retail value, trade-in value, and private party price. It obtains retail pricing by collecting information about actual retail sales.

How does Kelly Blue Book determine the prices they list?
-
cshety
They represent the market. They get quotes directly from dealers sales reports/surveys and contabulate what the price of your vehicle is from that based on additional features and condition.
-
machinisma
They also look at what these vehicles are being sold for at auctions nationwide to get a feel for the private rates and SRP rates from what people list these cars at for auctions.
-
jonathonvet
Consumer sales reports also helps them break down the prices of what's going on right now.

Will printing out the Kelly Blue Book review for my car help me sell it?
-
Sasude
Yes it will because it lets the customer know exactly what is in the car, what condition it is in, how many miles, etc. It gives a sense of comfort if they know you aren't asking a ridiculous amount for a car and it lets them know what it will be worth if they buy it. The different condition values helps to although most people will always start off at the excellent or good condition price.
-
margibrwn34
There is a flip side to that theory though obviously...it really kind of depends on how much you are wanting to sell it for though. If you are asking for higher then the KBB suggested or private seller rate then it will hurt you in selling your car.
-
cauthen02
Although I have noticed that most car dealerships that post the KBB price only pick the suggested retail price when showing you details because that is generally the highest price listed. The private is what you would get if you sold it yourself and the trade in is what gave someone for the car. Make sure to go online and look for yourself so you can know how much they made on the car (trade in value vs. SRP) so you can know how much haggling room you have. I did this and got my car talked down $5500 when they originally "weren't budging" at $2000. Helps to have an inside edge.

I was just at the North Tomawanda Museum website and found a Guest Book entry from Paul Dietrich. He was searching for lost relatives. I want him to know my grandfather was Frederich Luther. His wife was Ida Dietrich. My mother was Evelyn (Luther) Cook. A very long time ago there was a Family Reunion at Eastern Park in "Gas Town" next to Ellicot Creek. I can probably come up with more if he wishes.
