This means you?l likely always have similar signal reception unless you change your cell phone carrier or they significantly enhance their network to improve a dead zone. If your cell phone signal is weak at home either because your carrier provides inadequate service there or because the architectural structure of your home weakens your cell phone? signal, deactivating your landline might seem like a poor decision.

  Due to the continued explosion of cell phone use and the trend of people dropping a landline in favor of their cell phone, companies offering landline phone service have been seeing their revenues erode. As such, they?e modified their pricing plans to remain competitive and attractive. But if you can consolidate 2 bills into 1 smaller bill; isn't that always positive?

  Digital camera video features are great for small display or webcams. They do not hold the regular camcorder capacity.

  Same issue with cell phones but x2. Cell phones are even smaller so you will be dealing with grainy resolution and sketchy sound quality if you want to use it in bigger picture.

  Basically for blog, fun, webcam, short videos, small projects, etc. You can get away with using just a digital camera or cell phone but for things such as family vacations to corporate advertisements; you would want something more advanced. Not mentioned but memory capacity is really small in cell phones/digital cameras. You can only film a few minutes at most.

  Your digital camera and cell phone only have limited space and very short recording time. So it would depend on how much you want to record @ a time. I have all 3 & with the cell you can get something spontaneously, but if you go on vacation or have a certain event you plan to attend and want to capture the most of it I wouldnt do it with out video cam.

  The cheapest solution is a GSM phone.

  A Satelite phone is another possibility but it's just more expensive.

  Ask your cell phone provider if they carry any phones that work worldwide. Most if not all will have a solution but it might be cheaper to find their solution - buy that phone online - and then have them activate it.

  Yes and no. If they do it's not to the magnitude that they advertise.

  I noticed a slight difference in mine but the downside is it needs to be plugged into an adapter to work which defeats the purpose of a cell phone in my mind because you are not mobile.

  Depends on the area really?some places are just plain dead zones so I wouldn't get your hopes up too much that these devices will magically work in certain places.

  Blackberry was the first phone to have the keypad directly on the phone so you can type messages simpler.

  Blackberry is more of a mobile office. You can send emails, send (internet) faxes, web browse, link up to company directories and servers, etc. Of course now you can do some if not most of these things on a regular phone but Blackberry is more convenient and simplified.

  It's a PDA and a phone in one. Now they have push to talk BB's too. Some can work not on a phone service but as a WiFi network. They even just announced that you soon will be able to control your Tivo through your BB. So if you forget to record something and you are out; you can program it from your phone.

  Yes, my wireless provider donates used phones to a local women's shelter.

  I've heard of other companies doing the same sort of concept. It's a good, seemless way to give back.

  You can donate your phone back to your service provider (sometimes for cash) and they use them for parts or loner phones.
