Try using a polarizinf filter. They can also just be referred to as a polarizer.

If you have a SLR which uses phase detection for autofocus, which by the way most do, then you'll need to get a circular polarizer to avoid conflicts with your autofocus.

  • keoghcrispi

I haven't tried it myself, but a circular polarizer probably is not necessary with non-SLR digital cameras.

What should I do to prepare for Lasik eye surgery and How long is the recovery process?

If you wear soft lenses, don't wear them for 5- 7 days before the surgery. If you wear hard lenses then its suggested to not wear them for 6 weeks before surgery and an additional 6 weeks for every 3 years you have worn then. Recovery is fairly quick for any surgery.

I'm sure you would know and be required to anyway but routine is you need to have your eyes examined before Lasik so they can determine the thickness and shape of your cornea to map out the surgery.

Patients are typically given an antibiotic beforehand to minimize the risk of infection after the procedure. Once the surgery is completed, more antibiotics and anti-inplammatory eye drops are given and to be taken for weeks after. You are told to sleep as much as possible and given special goggles to protect your eyes. Improvements are seen within the first week and your eye is almost completely healed after 6 months.

Does sitting too close to a television really damage your eyes?

    Post Your Answer

  • mirah

I think that? something our parents just said. I don't think it has been proven.

  • WPArker

Not anymore at least. Older TV's did have an effect on your eyesight because they emitted higher levels of radiation so it would iritate your eyes. TV's now have proper shielding so radiation is no longer an issue. At worse, it stresses your eyes out from being too close.

  • Bplotkin

The stress part is true. People who are myopic have issues watching a tv too close or just watching a lot of tv in a given time. However myopic is genetic and you can't get it from sitting too close to the tube.
