    LCD monitors are aesthetically very pleasing to the eye being slim and stylish. There is no comparison with the CRT here.

    In color LCDs each individual pixel is divided into three cells; red, green, and blue. Each can be controlled independently to yield thousands or millions of possible colors for each pixel.

    Color components may be arrayed in various pixel geometries, depending on the monitor's usage. If the software knows which type of geometry is being used in a given LCD, this can be used to increase the apparent resolution of the monitor through subpixel rendering.

    They need to be at the right angle to see. If you look from the side or really any angle besides straight on, the image converts to a negative image (like what photo film looks like).
